Touch-up clean
The last sweep before sign-off. After the final clean and after the last trades have moved through, a home picks up handprints, smudges, and small misses. The touch-up clean is a secondary pass through every room that catches exactly those — so the home reads clean at the buyer walk-through, not just at the final clean.
Our touch-up pass is the sixth point of the WellKept standard — a secondary walk through every room identifying any missed areas, handprints, or smudges before sign-off.
A home can be perfectly final-cleaned and still show marks by the time the keys change hands. Install crews, punch-out trades, and final inspections all move through the space after the detail pass. The touch-up clean is what closes that gap — it's the difference between a home that was clean and a home that reads clean at handover.
For builders on a tight close, the touch-up pass is often scheduled as the final step before the buyer walk-through. It's also the phase where our lead technician signs off the inspection report — the touch-up is the last look before that record is locked.
